Merry Christmas

I have been busy again, some new design products and a project for a customer that I got to do last minute this week. As for our family, my brother took some awesome family pictures on Sunday and I finally got our Christmas card done. We are J-1. Tomorrow will be filled with cooking a homemade Lasagna which has become our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, church in the late afternoon with a family service. When we will be back home my brother Alex is going to join us and we will have peaceful evening :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!

Oh my, I need to play catch up!

I have to catch up on so many products I created. I will post them all here with the accompanying layouts. There are such beautiful memories that I have been scrapping and I even got to scrap some old pictures that I scanned in. So let's start :)

First I made this A Tour Across Europe Collection Biggiewith the according A Tour Across Europe: Food Embellishment Biggie. One of my favorites so far. It took me a while to have it all ready but I like the result. Especially the layouts have been very fun to create.

Then came Fall with my favorite collection because I love the colors so much and the flowers and because Fall is my favorite season with the leaves changing and the mist. Just magical!

The new bike

Here it is ... Frédéric's new bike that my Mami and Papi have offered him in advance for his 7th birthday. He really needed a new one and we decided to get him one before his birthday in July. I don't think that I need to add how happy he is ... the pictures speak by themselves :)

Playing a bit in Lightroom

I have been continuing to play a bit with my pictures. This time not in Camera RAW in Photoshop but in Lightroom 2. I am trying to get a bit serious about photography. I have been re-reading my Sony DSLR camera manual, downloaded the manual of my Minolta flash and re-read Scott Kelby's Digital Photography Book Volume 1. I had a few aha moments :)

I asked Boris on Saturday if he would pose for me ... and he said yes!!! I thought that he would throw a shoe at me LOL I took some natural pictures, this is just Boris as he is. I have been buying Gary Fong's Lightsphere II recently and now I have to test all my stuff to get confident with everything ... since I switched to Manual mode on my camera there is a lot of testing over here. Fortunately the boys like to pose (silly faces included).

It is unbelievable how you can twist your photos with a few simple adjustments. The first photo is the original as shot with my camera. Now I need to get these images in Photoshop and work a bit on them using some ScrapGirls templates to add some grunge and texture, perhaps some photo masks. We will see :)
